First-to-three table tennis played from behind your own bat, in a lantern-lit municipal sports hall at night, against a named opponent on a five-peg rank ladder. Move to place the bat, tap to commit an aggressive stroke, bank a charge every two exchanges. The skill is reading depth down a foreshortened table.
